This week in maths I played the game were you needed to sort all of the shapes. I thought that this game was a good game to refresh my mind but, I would not play it for fun.

The 12 chip dice game, was a race to see who could get all their pieces off the board first. By using the theoretical probability of an outcome when rolling 2 dice. I played this with my Mum. For the 12 chip dice game we had to draw up a game board. The board had 12 boxes, each labelled with a number from 1 to 12. We made 2 of these boards. We then each got 12 pieces. We then decided where we wanted to put our pieces ( on our own board). We chose the numbers based on what numbers we thought would come out the most. I put 1 piece on 4 and 10, I put 2 pieces on 5 and 9, I put 3 pieces on 6 and 8 and i put 4 pieces on 7. As the game went on I did not change where I put my pieces. This was because it seemed to work out for me as I always won. The theoretical probability of rolling the numbers are 1=0%, 2-12=2.8%, 3-11=5.5%, 4 -10=8.3%, 5-9=11.1%, 6-8=13.8% and 7 = 16.6%.

This week in maths we have been discusing the diffrences between fair and unfair. To do this we played a bord game at a school fair (to play you first you pay $1. Role 2 die and if you get a 2,3,4 or 5 you movie your peace to the left. If you get a 6,7 or 8 you move you peace up. If you get a 9,10,11 or 12 you movie you peace to the right. If you land on a win spot you win the amont on the place you land on.)We played this game and using experimental probability to see if it was fair.The game made the school lose money so we then needed to make you own version of this game.
To make our own version we brain stormed a few idears so we could work this is our fair bord

What makes a good story?
I think a good story has puzle peaces.As you read you find more and more peaces you put them together. By the end of the story you have made your puzzle and it all fits together.

I think an author needs to have at least small plan to get a rough idea of what they are writing.

The next most importent thing is to read over your work every sentence.

An author needs an imagenation to create an interesting character.
– What does an author need to do to create pictures of the settings, characters, actions in the reader’s mind?
I think an author needs to discribe the setting the same way he/she would explane to somone random on the street.

I think authors write storys to get money and entertan.

The hardest part is tthinking of the story line.
